Releases and versions

Dashboards follows Semantic Versioning . While versions are below 1.0, a minor release (0.x.0) may change behavior; each one says so below. Patch releases only fix bugs.

Added:

  • Server: MIOT_DASHBOARD_TICKET_ALLOW_HTTP=true accepts a plain http:// ticket validation URL, for an issuer on the same private network, such as a cluster service. Tickets then cross that network unencrypted. See Configuration.

Added:

  • Server: MIOT_DASHBOARD_GROUP_ROLES_PATTERN and MIOT_DASHBOARD_GROUP_ROLES_MAP read organization and scope roles from the caller’s groups, such as GROUP_DHB_{tenant}_{role}. See Authenticate users. Library users get the same from createGroupRoleAuthorities.

0.6.0 and UI 0.1.0 — 2026-10-05

First UI release. React, Web Component and plain-browser rendering of the widget catalog, and editors for settings, saved queries, permissions, filters and import/export.

Added:

  • Contract: select filters can allow a single value (single) and take their options from a saved query result (optionsSource). The OpenAPI document adds the query catalog route. List entries carry the dashboard’s order.
  • Server: an optional query catalog lists approved connections, operations and result columns to editors, without credentials. createRemoteQueryCatalog reads it from a host endpoint. Lists are sorted by order. plannerOperationContracts and migratePlannerQueries convert planner dashboards.
  • UI: useDashboardAutosave saves once edits pause.

Requires: contract ^0.6.0 for both server and UI. React 18 or 19 and ECharts 6 are optional peers of the UI.

0.5.0 — 2026-09-29

Added:

  • GET /tenants/{t}/scopes/{s}/capabilities answers {canCreate}, so a page can offer creation without reading any dashboard. Embed tokens cannot use it.

Changed:

  • Creating a dashboard now checks both the identity’s edit ceiling and the document policy. Contributors can still create under the default policy.

0.4.0 — 2026-09-29

Added:

  • Imports validate every document against the contract before touching the store, dry runs included.
  • migratePlannerQueries converts planner requests to saved queries with explicit mappings.
  • Filter bindings accept omitWhenEmpty.

Changed:

  • Standalone servers enforce allowedGroups. Configure a group claim or ticket group path before upgrading, or restricted dashboards become hidden.

0.3.0 — 2026-09-29

Added:

  • The contract defines saved queries with literal and filter bindings.
  • The server ships BigQuery and read-only HTTP executors under /queries, with deadlines, cancellation and size limits.
  • The container image includes an operations module for ModularIoT.

Changed:

  • Saved queries are off until an operations module or URL is configured.

First published contract and server: document storage, revisions, roles, organizations and scopes, JWT and ticket sign-in, datasources and encrypted credentials.

  • The platform changelog lists every release.
  • Each package’s npm page shows its versions.
  • Git tags follow miot-dashboard-<package>@v<version>.
